Selected Composition for strategy - Ending with a sigh of relief.

Our student Hannah from Hougang 3G Enrichment Centre wrote an excellent essay.

The task: You were asked to work night shift due to some changes in the work schedule. On your way home, something seemed to be lurking in the dark shadows. Write about the incident.

Mooncake Festival - Lantern by the waterway 9th September 2011

Last year on 9th September 2011, Allegro Phonics celebrated the Mooncake festival together with our saturday students. It was entitled "Lantern by the waterway" . We had great fun walking along the Punggol Waterway while we carried lanterns and had mooncakes along the way. We even had a storytelling session by Teacher Alethea on the origins of the mooncake festival. Haha! Passersby even stopped to listen to the story with their children ! Teacher Soo Noi played "Simon says" with the children! It was really memorable!

Mystery Reader at My First Skool Blk 185 Edgefield plains - 4th April 2012

It was such a delight as I read the story " A Very Big Storm " to the students at My First Skool blk 185 as the topic was on Co-operation . The story was about how all the animals in the forest get together to help build a shelter to escape the impending storm!  The students all enjoyed themselves with the post reading activity - Jigsaw puzzle which I've created to reinforce the topic on cooperation as each child comes together to form a big picture.  The younger children did a cooperation exercise on colouring a picture from the story.

A Big thank you to the teachers there who invited me to read the story! It was just an enjoyable event!
